Spruce provides hotel-style services to residents in apartment buildings and short term rentals, such as housekeeping, and basic chores. By aggregating “demand density” in a single building, Spruce is able to fundamentally lower the cost of home services (40-60%) and provide unique “micro” services that were previously uneconomic. Residents can have their clean clothes folded, their dishes washed, their bed sheets changed, or their bathroom cleaned. The Company is currently working with many of the top apartment managers, including Greystar, Lincoln, and Alliance, across 2,000+ apartment communities in over 20 different cities across 15 states. Fitz Gate led the company’s Seed round, investing alongside Mercury Fund. Sweat Equity Partners led Spruce’s Series A and B rounds ($8M and $26M respectively), followed by Softbank, Seamless Capital, and the Urban Capital Network, among others.
